At Blake Dental, we accept new patients several times a year and operate a waiting list. A large number of our patients come from recommendations from existing patients or people reading our outstanding online reviews.
NHS dentistry is for essential and necessary treatment only - anything deemed as cosmetic or using cosmetic materials would not be covered under the NHS. For example, stain removal, teeth whitening, veneers and hygienist appointments would only be available at affordable prices on a private basis.
If you are looking to book appointments at times that work around you then we recommend our Dental Plan. This allows you to access our private dentistry broken down into regular monthly payments and includes hygienist appointments as well as an exclusive discounted fee on dental treatment*.
Our fees for NHS dentistry are based on 3 βbandsβ of care - more information can be found here.
Dental treatments such as fillings and tooth extraction
More complex dental treatments such as crowns (caps) and dentures
We do ask that the payment in full for your NHS treatment is paid upfront, excluding check-ups or assessment.
There are designated time slots for new NHS emergency patients as a sit and wait facility, and on a βfirst come, first servedβ basis. Although we try our very best to see as many patients as possible, we may be limited by our appointment system. In the event that there are no NHS emergency sessions available with us, we will either offer you a Private Emergency appointment or refer you to the NHS helpline.
If you choose to be seen for a Private Emergency appointment, our reception team will give you an appointment for a specific time so that you do not have to sit and wait long periods to be seen. These are designed for patients who want to avoid waiting until the dentist is available, for example patients who want to avoid being late for work.
*only items under our General Fee GuideΒ are entitled to our Dental Plan discount.
